Before Amida Buddha whom Deva and men worship,
\nI humble myself in deepest reverence.
\nIn his wondrous land of Bliss,
\nSurrounded is he by countless Bodhisattvas.<\/p>\n

His golden form shines forth pure, like the King of Mount Sumeru.
\nHis practice of Truth is steadfast, like an elephant’s pace,
\nHis eyes radiate, like pure blue lotus blossoms.
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

His countenance is perfectly pure and round, like the full moon;
\nHis majestic light shines like a thousand suns and moons;
\nHis voice is like a heavenly drum, yet like a heavenly bird.
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

Avalokitesvara wears upon his crown,
\nThe image of Amida adorned with many precious jewels.
\nHe subdues the arrogance of demons and heretics.
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

Incomparable, vast, and pure his Virtues are,
\nClearly extending like vast open space,
\nHis acts freely benefiting all.
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

Bodhisattvas from the ten quarters
\nAnd countless maras always venerate him.
\nHe dwells with Vow-power for the sake of all beings.
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

In the golden treasure pond where the lotus flowers bloom,
\nEstablished with goodness is a wondrous throne;
\nWhere reigns the lord, like the King of Mount.
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

From the ten quarters Bodhisattvas come,
\nRevealing wondrous powers, they attain blissful state;
\nHonoring his face, they offer eternal homage.
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

All things are transient and without self
\nLike the moon on water, lightning, shadow or dew.
\n“The Dharma cannot be expressed by words,” the Buddha proclaimed
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

No words of evil are in his land;
\nNo fear of evil doers, nor evil paths;
\nWith sincere heart all beings worship him.
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

His land of infinite expediences
\nIs without degenerate things or wicked beings;
\nUpon rebirth, non-retrogressive Bodhi does one attain
\nThus I prostrate myself before Amida Buddha.<\/p>\n

Thus have I praised the virtues of Amida,
\nBoundless are they like the water of the sea.
\nUpon receiving these pure and good qualities,
