We are pleased to present LGBTQIA+ 101, an educational session for both the Hongwanji community and the community at large.

Please join us either in person at the Buddhist Study Center (across from the UH Mānoa campus at 1436 University Ave in Honolulu) or via Zoom, whichever works best for you.

In addition to Camaron Miyamoto, Director of the UH Mānoa LGBTQ+ Center, the event will feature panelists composed of members and families of the LGBTQIA+ community who are also a part of the Hongwanji organization.

  • Director of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Queer+ (LGBTQ+) Center
  • Adjunct faculty in the Department of Ethnic Studies at UH Mānoa (2002-present)
